An interesting debate that many students have or are facing, is if they should continue or go back to school. These are some pro’s and con’s of coming back to BSB this term:
PROS:
Most students claim that they learn better at school as it’s easier to get more attention and help, being at school rather than online.
Temperatures are always checked, desks are cleaned before students leave a class, masks are mandatory, and hand sanitizers are located everywhere.
You don’t have to come everyday and can limit contact this way.
Teachers and staff get tested and so do students (if someone does come into direct contact, they will be sent home to quarantine and get tested, and may come back after being proven to have a negative result within a week’s time)
CONS:
Although there is social distancing, there will be times where that won’t occur to the fullest extent (eg: there are days where more than half a class comes in so distancing isn’t at its best, additionally, there are subjects that require contact sometimes: such as PE and Drama)
It’s not 100% guaranteed that you won’t get infected. However, if you stay sanitary, socially distanced, and follow the guidelines to reduce the risk of being infected, the possibility of being infected with the virus will be extremely slim.
Remember that this decision is yours to make, but other than thinking of how going to school can benefit you academically, do also take into consideration your family and your personal health. Such as if you get sick easily, are you or your family high risk demographics? Coming back to school should not just mean seeing your friends, as there is a lot to take into account when choosing to return to school.
