Know that feeling when you struggle to really find the right thing to watch? We do, and we’re here to help.
5. Ratched
Genre: Drama
Ratched is a suspenseful collection of dramas telling the original story of Mildred Ratched, an asylum nurse. Mildred arrived in Northern California in 1947 to seek a job at a leading psychiatric hospital. Mildred disguises herself on a covert mission as the ideal picture of what a devoted nurse should be, but the wheels are still spinning as she starts to penetrate the mental health care system and those inside it. The stylish exterior of Mildred belies a rising darkness that has been smoldering within for a long time, revealing that real monsters are made, not born.
4. PJ Masks
Genre: Kids Cartoon
Age rating: All
There are superheroes everywhere, no denying that. But where the Marvel and DC movies are targeted at older children, here comes PJ Masks to bring the thrilling world of superheroes to young children. We follow three 6 year olds who at night become superheroes, and get together as the titular superhero team to fight crime, face villains and having to work as a team to beat them. The PJ Masks show blends all of a big budget movie’s superheroes with the overwhelming imagination of its target audience, resulting in a child-friendly action-adventure show that is both thrilling and an important moral story.
3. Avatar: The Last Airbender
Genre: Kid’s TV
Age rating: 7+
Arguably one of the all-time greatest animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender pushed limits on what a TV show made for kids might do. The show follows a young boy who is entrusted with bringing balance to a world at war. With heavy themes such as genocide and totalitarianism while retaining a playful humour, the show featured an epic serialized plot. The characters are well developed and have fascinating storylines of their own, and in decades, we get maybe the best redemption story. And the show actually builds up to a concrete conclusion in a near perfect bow that binds all the themes and stories together. If this new classic hasn’t been seen by you, now is your chance to.
2. Emily in Paris
Genre: Comedy-Drama
Age rating: 16+
Emily in Paris follows Emily, a motivated 20-something year old, American who travels to Paris for an unexpected work opportunity. She is tasked with bringing an American point of view to a venerable French marketing company. As she adapts to the complexities of life in Paris while balancing her work, new friendships and love life, cultures clash.
The Queen’s Gambit
Genre: Drama

The Queen's Gambit is a fictional tale that follows the life of Beth Harmon (Anya Taylor-Joy), an orphan chess prodigy, during her journey to become the greatest chess player in the world while dealing with mental problems and a crushing reliance on drugs and alcohol.
