The Monthly's Virtual Valentines Message Success

Despite the unfortunate circumstances and restrictions the global pandemic has imposed upon us, The Monthly Team could not let an opportunity to spread some love and appreciation this Valentine’s Day simply pass by! So as the month of love drew nearer, an online Valentine’s day messages event was organised, giving students the opportunity to express their appreciation for someone special on this joyous day. A Google Forms link was sent out to all students on the 26th of January, where they could write messages to be delivered virtually to their loved ones on Valentine’s Day. The Monthly received over 400 responses and our large team got to work with the 6th Form Media Committee to play the role of BSB’s Cupid! All the messages were delivered on the 14th of February and numerous people were able to feel the simple excitement of affection that the global pandemic may have restricted!

We hope this gesture made for a more cheerful Valentine’s Day amidst these turbulent times.
